Founded in 2019 with an intake capacity of 24 students, the Department of Chemistry initially operated under the CBCS curriculum. With the advent of the National Education Policy 2020, we quickly embraced the Four-Year Undergraduate (FYUG) program in 2023. Our department is distinguished by a team of seasoned faculty members, renowned for their academic prowess and professional expertise, excelling in the FYUG teaching model.
Our advanced facilities boast a multifaceted laboratory and a comprehensive library, both meticulously designed to support extensive student research. We cultivate a dynamic research environment by requiring final semester students to submit original dissertation proposals, encouraging innovation and the exploration of new frontiers in chemistry.
Our students benefit from rigorous training and expert guidance, enabling them to excel in competitive exams. Many have successfully qualified for IIT JAM, achieved impressive scores in CUET, and pursued higher degrees. Additionally, the department regularly organizes and hosts seminars and lectures featuring eminent subject matter experts, fostering a culture of academic excellence and intellectual growth among our students.
